Manager –Business Development (China) (MP2P) 

Background 

(1) To support the BD heads in the HO as well as in PRC to pursue and develop new projects in the provinces that *** identified as focus regions, including project screening, securing project development rights, contracts tendering, negotiations, development process management, preparation of business cases, *** internal approval process etc.; 

(2) To manage Budget (Devex, Capex, Opex) of all business developments (HK and PRC teams), internal controls and corporate governance of the team; and 

(3) To manage all the reporting requirements of business development team. 

(4) To carry out new initiatives on business development and capture new investment opportunities arising from the China power market reform 

Work Location: Beijing 


Responsibility: 

• Negotiation of development right agreement or other contracts in the business 

development cycle; 

• Identifying and solving issues in sourcing new project so as to select viable projects and secure development right ; 

• Effective support in investment case preparation by providing commercial and policy analysis; 

• Effective procurement of service provider or goods vendor in the business development cycle; 

• Budget control and monitoring in the business development teams both in HK and PRC; 

• Implementation and management of group internal control measures in the business development teams in according to *** corporate governance requirements ; 

• Establishment and maintaining of business relationship with the key stakeholder for the business development. 

• Manage all reporting requirements in relation to China business development 

• Monitor and analyse the latest progress of the power market reform in China 

Experience & Skills 

• At least 10 years working experience in the field of business development, commercial negotiation, power project management and implementation in the PRC power sector:

Extensive experience in corporate governance of MNCs in China is also required.

• Commercial contract preparation and negotiation skills

• Policy and regulation research and analysis skills

• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills

• Skills to coordinate between senior management, government officials or other

stakeholders 

Qualifications 

• Minimum requirement: Bachelor degree of engineering, finance or legal discipline
